ORTHOReD is ready to use out of the box. There's no mandatory setup and nothing to work through before you begin. Configure as much or as little as you like, whenever it suits you.

Zero setup

Start immediately. Sensible library defaults cover document styles and PROMS, so you can begin capturing encounters straight away and never touch a setting.

Set up first

Prefer everything dialled in before you start? Work down the Setup tile on your Home screen (one row per Settings pane, in order), then begin with the platform tuned to your practice.

Hybrid: set up as you go

Most surgeons start with the defaults and refine in flow: swap in your letterhead, add a hospital or assistant, upload a rehab protocol the first time you need it. Nothing is ever locked.

What you can configure

Change any of it at any time from Settings, once or gradually as you go.

Profile
Name, qualifications, your office and consulting details, and your operating locations (which supply the hospital list), plus your assistant-surgeon and anaesthetist lists. These become reusable pick-lists on every operative encounter.
Document style
Choose a consult-note and operation-note style and upload your logo and signature. Set it once and the design system renders it consistently on every document.
Surgery preferences
Implant preferences per procedure, billing codes, and billing-type defaults, so the operative pipeline then defaults to what you actually use.
Patient resources
Your own patient information and surgery information sheets, consent forms, rehab protocols and exercise sheets, alongside the ORTHOReD library you select from. Nothing attaches until you have chosen it.
PROMS
Set your alert threshold, and choose whether to add optional questionnaires, the 5- and 10-year follow-ups, and the full set with the registration form. The core questionnaire set and timepoints are platform-fixed.
Where things live
Home
Portal Home, the unified landing for every role. Actionable queue tiles: agenda, upcoming surgery, new files, outstanding medicolegal, new documents, outstanding quotes, outstanding and deteriorating PROMS, outstanding investigations and outstanding registrations, plus the Setup tile, your map of Settings.
Agenda
The clinic calendar: the day's appointments and the week view; open an appointment straight into its encounter.
Clinical
The patient list and the encounter pipeline, where structured capture happens.
Practice
Quotes and bookings & billing, upcoming cases, investigations sent, logbook and complications, mostly auto-populated.
Research
The cohort builder, summary statistics, comparisons, and CSV export.
Reference
The read-only library: patient information, surgery information, consent forms, rehab protocols and exercise sheets, plus your surgeon reference and your private Surgeon knowledge.
PROMS
The PROMS dashboard (every patient with an active schedule): send or resend, staff-assisted completion, opt-out, and score-change alert acknowledgement.
Settings
Identity, document preferences, PROMS, UI builders, patient resources, surgeon resources and user management. Change letterhead, lists and preferences any time.

Ready when you are.
