No. ORTHOReD is the surgeon's documentation, outcomes, and research layer. It runs alongside whatever institutional or practice software you already use. In private practice, PDFs flow through your PM software's existing transmission; a plain-text EMR-paste rendering puts the same content into hospital EMR free-text fields.

There's no mandatory setup. ORTHOReD is ready to use out of the box on sensible defaults. You can begin straight away and configure nothing, set everything up front, or refine as you go. The Setup tile on your Home screen lists every Settings pane in order; skip any row and come back to it whenever you like. Any setting can change at any time.

You do. The research layer is opt-in and consent-based. Your data stays yours unless you choose to share it, and collaborative datasets are de-identified and surgeon-controlled.

Patient data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosted in your jurisdiction's region. Images and documents are stored privately with no public links. The medicolegal archive is immutable: generated documents are write-protected and hashable for integrity, so a record can't be silently altered. Built to meet healthcare data-protection requirements.

Automatically. Pre- and post-operative questionnaires dispatch at fixed timepoints, are scored server-side, and display as longitudinal trajectories. When a score falls by more than your own threshold, you and your practice admin are notified to review it, with no dedicated PROMS coordinator required.

Every value derives from a deliberate field selection, rendered deterministically, with no probabilistic transcription. Every generated document and linked resource is stored in a permanent, immutable archive, hashable for integrity and reconstructable indefinitely.
